They\u2019ve all appeared at the Joyce in the heart of Chelsea. The 472 seat Joyce is named after the daughter of the donor who underwrote the building in 1982 for $225,000. Sigh, pocket change in 2019. The building had begun life in 1941 as the Elgin, a movie house. Even if you don\u2019t like modern dance, it\u2019s a treat to go to the Joyce. Not a bad seat (maybe an exaggeration about the first two rows) in the house and the 1981-2 renovation was perfect.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bill_T._Jones\/Arnie_Zane_Dance_Company\">Bill T. The program included Sidi Large Cherkaoul\u2019s Faun and an excerpt of<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Drew Jacoby\u2019s Supreme. Beautifully presented to a packed house (at least the main seating section).<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i>Graphic Lessons:<\/i> What do a thirty-four-year old, a nine-year-old and an eighteen-year-old have in common? Murder.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Millie Fitzgerald applies for a private school teaching job, faints on a<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>dying man in the school kitchen, deals with a troubled nine-year-old and with the eighteen-year-old niece of the murdered man.<\/p>\n<p><i>Graphic Lessons:<\/i> Nine-year-old Dana is the only witness who overhears a person fighting with George Lopez, the soon to be stabbed Windsor School kitchen worker. Who can she tell? Her mother who never listens or accuses her of lying? Her father who\u2019s started a new family in Singapore? She tells Millie.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i>Graphic Lessons: <\/i>NYPD Detective Steve Kulchek is assigned the murder case at the prestigious Windsor School. What\u2019s bugging him? His partner being stabbed ?
